So here we have the recently-minted Military Sealift Command vessel !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! heading out and riding high (no cargo). Construction on the Glenn began at the NASSCO shipyard here in SD in April 2012 and she was delivered for sea trials in January of this year "on schedule with no open discrepancies." She received her commission in March. Some stats:

Complement: Unknown, but it will be some mix of mostly civilian crew with some Navy
Fun fact: These ships are designed to, among other things, haul up to 3 Navy LCACs. From what I can surmise, these ships are designed to semi-submerge for the off- and on-loading of these huge hovercraft! Neat, huh?
